The Orientation Week
I was just referring to my orientation week at UPM from 2/9/2012 - 8/9/2012 (or maybe 9?)
Basically, orientation weeks were full of taklimats. But what amazed me is that, when we enter the dewan besar, where all the new students (session 2012/2013) gather for the taklimats, cheer wars broke out. Every colleges shout their cheers, displaying a super-duper-high spirit to let people know which college they're from and they're proud of it.
And so we practiced our cheers as well. Only consisting of around 130+ people, and only having maybe 40+ boys, our cheers can't really be heard among all the others actually. I'm not saying that we should compare ourselves to Kolej Sepuluh (K10), where it consists of all boys (around 200+ i guess??), but i guess we doesn't have the spirits within ourselves. To be honest, at first I was just satisfied at looking at other colleges trying their best in the cheers war, just sit there looking at them made me feel refreshed. But somehow, come to think of it, what if I, no, WE are in their shoes, doing our best and let the others look at us, feel jealous towards us, that feeling wasn't that bad huh? ;)
I read this on Facebook some other day before starting my Uni life : When you get into university, forget about all your pasts. The others doesn't know who you are, they don't know what kind of a person were you before that, so change yourself. Transform into a new person, a better person, and things will change itself.
So I did. Well, before this, I aren't that kind of person who would voluntarily go and talk to some strangers whom I've never met or talk to before. But yeah, I changed myself. I took the initiative to make new friends, and now, I get at least two close friends with me. I didn't volunteer to be the ketua aras actually, but since the facilitator has already locked her eyes on me, so I went to the front with no doubt.
Thus, in the ice breaking session for the Moral Slot, where we were divided into two groups, A and B, where group A is supposed to surround Group B in a circle (that means there were two circles there! If you don't understand, yeah I admit that I'm bad at explaining it :P) , and we were supposed to go around in circle within the group either in clockwise or anti-clockwise direction (in our case, my group, group A is going in the anti-clockwise direction), and when the Faci asked us to stop, we'll have to get to know the person standing in front of us, there I talked to a guy.
He told me : " It looks like you're that kind of person who are good in leading people. " and " Are you an active person (joining a lot of school activites and so on) ? "
So to his surprise, I said no. Well, at least I'm not when I was in school.. (But that doesn't mean that I admit that I'm good at being a leader now. No I'm not, my leadership skills sucks actually.)
So that's how he saw me as a person, and I guess others see me in that way too. Hence, it really makes a difference when you take the initiative yourself to go and meet new people, to gain more experience, and to make more memories :)
By the way, I've learned something new actually. When the Faci asked us to go and meet new friends and take their details (name, hobby, where were you from etc. ) , that was the only thing in my mind. My job is to memorize the details they gave me, so that when the Faci asked me to repeat why they've said, I can answer it well.
And so after I finish talking with the same guy, all I was thinking was : " Alright, I've memorized his name, birthday, hobby, where did he came from, his family members etc etc. I will have no problem answering the questions if the Faci asked me about him. "
But the last thing he told me before we separate actually surprised me, kinda like taken aback by his words : " Anything else you want to know more about me, just asked me later, since we're in the same lecture. "
Yeah, I was wrong. I forgot the main purpose of this ice breaking game is not for us to give the correct answers to the questions asked by the Faci, but it is for us to meet new people, make new friends, make lifelong friends, well at least we can say Hi to each other when we met somewhere in the campus later on.
It doesn't matter if you gave the wrong answer, because that's not what it is all about.
So to the guy named Wai Loon, thank you very much, for realizing me. :)
About the last day, where all of us slept at 6am, a lot of unexpected things happened. Things that shouldn't really happen to us, to anyone else. But since we promised that we would grow stronger after this, let's not disappoint those who put their hopes in us, alright? ;)
Oh Yeah, my roommate is a 2nd-year senior taking Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), and she's from my hometown!! Yay, how amazing was that!!! :D:D:D
So Bentong people, u guys rock!!!!! =D
Today is our first day having lectures. Woke up at 6am for a class that starts at 8am. Reached the faculty at 7.25am, found our Dewan Kuliah after walking here and there. By the way, the bus services here in UPM is fabulous, so thank you for the great services UPM bus drivers!! =D
And we spend our first day getting into classes and familiarize ourselves with this new place. I guess I should really mentioned your names here, shouldn't I? :)
So this is for Wooi Kien, Jia Xin, Suet Mei & Wai Loon, thanks for being together all the time during the day, and even if we didn't have much topic to talk about today, we still have some good times together didn't we? ;) ( I guess they wouldn't be able to see this post at all, since I'm such a secretive person muahaha xD)
That's all I guess? It's already 1am now, and I have class at 8am. Goodnight then =)

A brief summary of the past 5 months
a South Korean high school senior said: "The hardest part of my day is waking up in the morning."
Yeah, I agree with that statement. The hardest part of my Matriculation days is indeed 7am, the 'you-have-to-wake-up-now-or-you'll-be-late-for-bathing-eating-and-attending-lectures-and-tutorial-classes' time.
I think everyone here in Matriculation would face the same situation as me, if not, worst. Usually I would sleep at 12am, or maybe earlier, 11pm. The latest would be 2.30am, and this is not what I did frequently though.
The others, be it doing revisions or facing the laptop, slept at 1 or 2am daily. So they should be the one complaining, not me huh? ;)
We have gone through a lot here, from the Mooncake Festival to our final exam, PSPM I.
I have learned a lot during the preparation for the Mooncake Festival, organized by the Chinese from KMPh. Of all the Biro's, I've chosen to join Biro Dokumentasi. People asked me: " Why wouldn't you join the biro persembahan and stand on the stage?"
"Because I'm interested in taking photos."
Yeah, in the past, like during some occasions or 生活营, I've always been monitoring those facilitators who's holding the camera. "It must be really fun!" I said to myself.
And indeed, walking around holding the camera is REALLY FUN! :D
The proudest thing of me being in Biro Dokumentasi is when the president of this event praises my work!
We had an afternoon session and a night session for the Mooncake Festival. So the afternoon session was a FOC event, anyone could come into the dewan and walk around to play some games and get to know more about this legendary day. I was walking around with the camera and suddenly I have an idea. I thought of filming some short videos of people who came to the dewan to talk about what do they feel at that moment. Not everybody would agree to this kind of thing immediately, I have to beg and beg and beg them to just say a few words to the camera.
I would begin by approaching somebody whom I knew or a totally stranger by saying :" Excuse me.. Boleh tak awak tolong saya buat suatu benda?"
They would say :"Huh? Apa?"
I :"Can you speak to the camera and tell me what do you feel right now?"
"Har, ah no no no no no, tak nak, malulah saya!!"
"Please please please, just a few words..."
"Tak naklah! Saya tak tau nak cakap apa..."
"Just talk about anything you like, such as what do you see or learn today or just anything about this festival.."
With me begging to almost every single person I approached for about 3-5 minutes, 7 out of 10 of them would do it as I told them to. So I've filmed a lot of these videos, a little bit of cutting and editing here and there by the members of the biro, and the video was shown to approximately 900 people who attended the night session (this, you have to get in with a ticket! :P) .
I was satisfied. But I was more than happy after that. During the 检讨会, the president was pointing at the mistakes and achievements of every biro, and when it is our turn, first he would talk about the mistakes that we have done. The subtitles, the slideshow.....
"但是,Biro Dokumentasi做了一件令我意想不到的东西,就是那个他们分享感受的video。这个video做到很好。"
Dude, do you know how happy I was to hear that statement? Somebody is appreciating our work!! :D:D
Thank you, Mr.President. :)
The Mooncake Festival ended successfully. :)
And this is all because of all your efforts, guys. :)
Should I talk a little bit about my classmates here?
I hate them, but I love them.
Yeah, that's what I feel about my classmates.
They could be so irritating and immature at times, but they could be lovely sometimes.
They could be so uncooperative at times, but they could be so united sometimes.
They could be so disrespectful at times, but still they would trust me sometimes.
That's all, I don't wanna talk too much about them :P
To end this post, let me show you some of the photos that I've taken! :)
(eh dun complain about the quality, I'm just using my Nokia 5800 to take these photos!)

14 June + something else ^^
Where should i start??????
Maybe this:
10 June (Friday) 12pm, still in my maths tutorial class, but an unknown number called me. So I just picked it up even though my class have not officially ended XD
Turns out that one guy whom I don't know called me to tell me that he too is having the maths quiz with me later, but he doesn't know where should he go right then. So I told him to come to the Bilik Tutoran building as I'll wait for him there.
But the thing is...
WE DON'T KNOW HOW EACH OTHER LOOKS LIKE!!!!
So i was waiting there, holding my phone, waiting for someone to come find me~~ Then i saw a guy coming, and he came to me and ask: "Is it you...." and yeah, so we found each other! XD
So we went to the cubicle together, and had our maths test there~ He finished the paper first, so I mouthed the word "bye-bye" to him, telling him that he should go first, but he said he'll wait for me, so i guess, ok, I'll have to finish it fast so that I don't let a stranger wait for me for too long~
I handed the paper to the teacher, and the next thing i know, we're having lunch together.....
Now that I think about this incident, it's.... funny. I mean, do people who had just met each other would have a meal together? XD
13 June. I came out from my bilik tutor and I saw the guy named KS standing outside. So I "memberanikan diri (as what Thivya said)" to talk to him! "Erm... you're KS right?" "Yeah. :)" "Ur birthday is tomorrow right? I have the same birthday as you..." "Oh is it? So do you want to celebrate it together?" "Erm... ok :D"
Whee~~~ I know that this would make Thivya JEALOUS!!!! XDXD
14 June 12am!!!!! Messages came pouring in, glad that people still remember it although we're far apart (I know FB did some help, u don't need to tel me) .
So I was reading the messages in Thivya's room (coz I'm having a sleepover at her room!! :D) , when Thivya & Farah said that they're going to toilet, followed by Intan. Ida just went out without giving any reason, so I started suspecting something. But hey, how should I know that those girls would just suddenly burst into the room with powder on their hands and started rubbing it all over me!!!! =.=
So all of us screamed and ran around the room chasing each other, at last got scolded by other people for being too noisy at midnight XD
After spending a lot of time in the toilet washing the powder off my face, hair, and hands, I went back to their room and prepared to sleep, but then I received a call from him ! ^^
It must have been really long since I've heard his voice, and you won't know how happy I was to receive his call! :D:D:D
So I slept at 2am that night and woke up at 6.10am.
After the Kemahiran Dinamika class, we have a one-hour break, so we went to the bakery to spend the time. My classmates, Ana and Cuna belanja me a piece of cake!!!! Thanks girls!!! :D:D:D
Oh yeah, I saw Mr.KS again today, so I wished him "Happy Birthday" and he too wished me "Happy Birthday" ^^
I had my lunch in Cafe C, and I saw the canteen guy and the handphone guy here too!!! (Only Thivya could understand this :P)
5pm, me & Thivya went to the bakery as Thivya promised to belanja me a RM1.00 cute cake, so while I was enjoying eating at the bakery there, Mr.KS came and he told us that his friend too belanja him the same thing XD
Oops, there's something that I must add here:
During the gap between the classes, Thivya saw Mr.KS while she was walking to her next class, so she "memberanikan diri (XD)" to tell him:" K, Happy Birthday!" and Mr.KS get a shock because a random stranger out of nowhere just blurted out those words to him! XDXD
After that, I went to the padang with Amir, happily eating the ice-cream that Amir belanja me!! :D
Mir kept asking me to jog with him, but I refused to jog while I haven't finish the ice-cream, so Mir went to play badminton in the dewan, and I was left sitting on the one of the benches, looking at the footballers happily XD
But waiting = boring, so I just sms Khai becoz he said he would call me back (I called him becoz I haven't receive any birthday msg from him XD). So I spent my time walking around the padang two times while talking on the phone with Khai XDXD
Later at night, while I was talking on the phone (again XD) with Xiao Hui, I went to the Admin Cafe with Thivya and Yeng Ying. Hmm... this might be the best cafe ever in the whole campus because of the service there! Gotta come here more often >.<
Night time!! I called him again before I sleep, coz i wanna listen to his voice again >.<
So what I want to say is.... Another great birthday this year!! ^^
At last, thanks to everyone who wishes me, and to those who are always by my side accompanying me, I love you ^^

MPPB in KMPh
On the 23rd of May, I went to
(All the photos here were taken in the internet)
Yeah, we were trying to look for any chinese during the drive-thru pendaftaran, so when we saw one, my parents + my uncle + myself were really excited XD
My room is on the second floor of Blok C1
Yeah that's our blok: Sri Kuantan 1.
I was the first one to enter my room, so I get to choose the side with the best feng shui in the room XD
All of my three other roommates were bumiputera, and yeah, Atun, Aini & Eipah, I think you guys were great :D:D
Thivya's room was at the same floor but oh god, walking from my room to hers is pretty much like walking from 1 hujung to another, and so sometimes I did get lost finding for her room and my own room XD
Around 1pm, me + thivya + my parents + her parents + my uncle went to the nearest kafeteria, kafeteria C which is just beside our blok to have our lunch.
I don't think I have ever seen that many flies in a place before =.= God that was disgusting, basically the food there sucks, the lousy paying system, and the extremely bloated with ppl situation would make you eat breads, breads, and breads for your breakfast, lunch and dinner !!
Ok, we'll continue the kafeteria topic later.
Oh there's a gym in our blok!!! I mean, I don't go to gyms but I would love to!!!
Thivya, let's try going to the gym together for at least once :)
And there are some great places to hang out when u have nothing to do such as the mini-mart where u can get ur daily supplies here, the bakery that obviously, sells roti, the tasik, and the superbly amazing library!!!
Basically, our Minggu Pengurusan Pelajar Baru (MPPB) Sesi 2011/2012 were consists of taklimat, taklimat, and more taklimats. With only 2-3 hours of sleep each day during the orientation week( sleep at 12am and wake up at 3.30am), coffee and sweets might be your best friends throughout the week. I had nescafe panas, nescafe o sejuk, and nescafe panas for three days before I went to the morning taklimat sessions. Don't wanna get famous for sleeping during the talks ;)
On the 2nd day, I love the Aktiviti 1: Suai Kenal & Ice Breaking session!!! (although i have always always hated activites such as ice breaking) We have this activity in Dewan Dato' Bahaman, and we're divided into groups. I'm the only non-bumi in my huge group, but who cares, as our sub-group, "June birthday boys and girls" are such amazing persons!!
Thanks to Zaim (sorry I'm not sure about the spelling), our ketua, for talking so much with me during the "mengenal rakan-rakan yang berada dalam group kamu tu", and for telling me :" Wah, Chan! I tak sangka kamu ni berani sangat! Tiba-tiba shout nama Drogba tu kuat-kuat!" XD
And also to our 2nd June guy, Mohd. Ali for shouting "Sini sini!!! Chan! Chan!" and pointing at me when the ketua feci was finding for one non-bumi to answer the question given. (Well as he didn't notice that I was signaturing him to stop what he was doing, i just bang the floor real hard with my hand to made him stop shouting, and the people sitting around us were laughing at us XD)
Of course, thanks to the other group members who were really kind to me :)
Oh ya oh ya, I finally saw Amir on this day!!! Yay!!! But sorry Mir, I do not have the time to help you fully-charge your phone :(
Everyday, we would have this gathering in dewan kuliah for the non-bumis, and there are only like, 88 of us out of thousands of students in kmph. Yeah, the gatherings were fun because of the chinese and indian boys, but sometimes, u guys were really over the limit...
By the way, a big thank you to all of the feci here, especially Suthan, Ram, Xiang Yi, Yun, Yee Teng, Yong, Gawry, & En Yi, for guiding us all the time, for being there for us when we needed someone by our side, for giving us useful, detailed-information, and for scolding us whenever we did something wrong. :)
I hated it when people asked me what my ambition is, because I can't give them a definite answer. But tell you what, the result of my borang penyelidikan minat kerjaya was, and will always be: Artistic! Whee~~
25 May, walk around the campus, wheeeee~~~ Walk walk walk, saw so many other groups also walking, saw so so so many people, but I just can't find for Amir, haiz~~~
And this is the day when I get to know Lydiar and Tharsu, so yay!!! New wonderful friends!!
Time flies real fast, and it's time for the the last day of the orientation week. We just sat in Dewan Mat Kilau for 2-3 hours for nothing, waiting for the raptai majlis penutupan MPPB to end. Boring~~~ Thanks for Thivya, Rejai, and Mir for accompanying me so that I doesn't fall asleep during that time, although I'm pretty sure that the reason that i did not feel mengantuk at that time is because of the nescafe in my tangan~
After a few days not seeing Amir's face, we finally saw him again when we were walking back to our blok. So i ajak him go eat together at kafeteria A, and OH MY GOD THAT IS SO UNFAIR BECAUSE THIS KAFE IS LIKE 100 TIMES BETTER THAN THE PREVIOUS KAFE!!!!!! Lalats? Maybe just one or two. Too many people? Nope! Food? Cheap!!! And woah, this kafe even plays music for us!!! I wanna come here often!
Well, I'm still not sure what's my decision after this, but whatever it is, it's still a pretty "geng" experience for me :)
Just wanna tell ya that these are the few things that made me feel like wanna stay here: the facilitators' effort, the determination for menjayakan the CNY celebration, the "u will be assured a place in the local universities" talks, Amir's "不要走啦!", and of course, Thivya. :)
Lastly, thanks to those who asked bout me during this week -- Xuan, Mic, Xiao Hui, Shimmy, Hui Xian, Min Ai & my family. Love u <3

I Will
Or will it end one year later?
Will I end up staying here?
Or will I ride on the plane to experience another world?
Will I be doing what they wanted me to?
Or will I be doing what i wanted to?
Will the dream engulf me forever?
Or will I be conquering the dream?
Will I be forgotten?
Or will I be remembered?
Will I.....
I will :)

The Next Big Thing --------- Block B
Ok, i know that it's still too early to predict their future, after all, they had just debuted like, 5 days ago XD
But then, you may agree with me that this 7-member hip-hop group could be the best new group to debut this year ( i can already see them winning the 2011 Best New Artist award XD), after watching their debut performance and MV!! :)
Music Bank Debut Performance 15.04.2011
Freeze! MV
What do you think? :)
Introduction time!! :D:D
Before that, i would like to give credits to cafe.daum.net/BB-Club and Dvyue & maggie from blockbintl.com (International Block forum) for allowing me to post the following profile pictures here!! Thank you so so much!!! :D:D:D
Leader Zico
Main Vocalist Taeil
B-Bomb
Jaehyo
U-Kwon
Rapper Kyung
Maknae P.O.
I like how the members of Block B resembles other idols just like the ones shown in this picture:
An article from allkpop that i would like to share with you all:
Cho PD’s Block B finally unveiled themselves earlier today, and much attention is now being put on the individual members. allkpop was informed by Brand New Stardom that all seven members endured their fair share of hardships before they came together to be the group they are today.
Member Jaehyo was actually a trainee for B2ST but eventually had to give up his dreams and return home after injuring his knee with heavy rehearsals. When he received surgery for his knee, he was later encouraged by MBLAQ’s Lee Joon to stand up and try again. Under his support, Jaehyo mustered the bravery to try out once more, and fortunately passed.
Maknae P.O. was actually eliminated during the group’s first official audition. He tried out again a year later after losing 10 kg and training intensively to improve his vocals and dance skills. Cho PD watched over his progress, and decided to include him in the final line-up, opposing the voices encouraging him to drop P.O.
Cho PD’s personal ‘dark horse’, member U-Kwon, was also a trainee that failed his camera test in the beginning of their training. After the shock of the experience, he geared up his determination and came back for a second audition, essentially stunning everyone in the room with his favorable profile.
Kyung was chosen as a trainee while he was studying abroad in New Zealand, and is also one of the most experienced members of the group. He was dropped from the final line-up for Block B because Cho PD felt that he would be a better fit as a leader for another group. However, Kyung fasted for 10 days afterwards, and worked to prove himself once more in order to become a member of Block B, which eventually led Cho PD to give into Kyung’s determination.
Leader Zico, like the rest, was also dropped from the initial line-up because they felt that he didn’t have enough what it took to be a leader. According to Cho PD, a true leader needed to have the will to stand up eight times after failing seven. After suffering a brief period of depression, Zico picked himself up again and returned to wow the crowd for a second time.
Main vocalist Taeil is already well-known for being eliminated from MBC’s “Birth of A Great Star“. Taeil didn’t let that stop him, though, as he later tried out for Cho PD’s audition and passed, managing to go straight into recording for Block B’s title track.
Rounding out with member B-Bomb, the industry has their eyes set on these seven members and are already anticipating what they’ll be bringing to the table.
Not easy eh? :)
Anyway, this is another amazing song from their "Do U Wanna B?" single --- Wanna B
Who's my favourite member? Well, I can't really tell you a definite answer right now, but then, I can't seem to take my eyes off Zico during their performance XD
Don't forget to check out Zico and Han Hae's cover of "Billionaire" ^^
I'm not really into hip-hop music, but i'm into K-HipHop :)
credits to allkpop, Brand New Stardom Ent. and again, cafe.daum.net/BB-Club & blockbintl.com :)
